The Midlands Choir for gay, lesbian, bisexual,
transgender people and their friends
The concert at the Irish Club was a blinding success!
Our last rehearsal with Al.
It was our last concert with our musical director Al Booth. It was a very
emotional performance and we will miss her terribly but our new MD Jean will
lead us into a new era in great style.
We'd like to thank our patrons Chris While & Juie Matthews and Mrs Barbara
Nice for their performances at this special concert.

Rainbow
Voices first CD released

Rainbow Voices, Birmingham’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered choir has produced their first CD. Part live from their 2006 concert and part studio in 2007, the CD includes old favourites ‘Something Inside So Strong’ and ‘You raise me up’ as well as newer repertoire such as ‘Razzle Dazzle’, ‘Locus Iste’ and the Richard Rodgers medley. Price £10 plus £1 p&p. Order from Pam on 07841 755379 or contact@rainbow-voices.org.uk and someone will be in touch to arrange payment and delivery details.
Our December appearances all went well, AIDS day in the Cathedral, two slots at the annual Queer Carols at the Nightingale, and our very own Carol Crawl round the gay village, during which we raised over £90 for LGB Youth Group, 'Out Central'.
Our first CD has sold out (only joking, sales have been good but we have plenty left) please do let us know if you would like one for the great price of £10.
Choir of the Year
We had a great time at
the Choir of the Year regional finals in March, but didn't get through to
the grand final. Never mind, there's always another year!
